TH-PVP

TH-PVP is a new research chemical with a chemical formula of C19H27NO, a CAS number of 583123-2-1, molecular weight of 285.420. The systematic or IUPAC name is 2-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)-1-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalen-2-yl)pentan-1-one.

The chemical is so new on the market it is difficult to know the medical uses or other property of TH-PVP until more controlled research has been completed. The closest we can get to is by looking at the analog of TH-PVP with is a-PVP.

a-PVP was created in the 60’s and has similar properties of TH-PVP, therefore there could be some similarities. The one thing you must remember when you are seeking research chemicals is that just because they have an analog that has years of research and may be used medically, does not mean that this new research chemical will produce the same effects. ChemAxon also published a topology analysis on the analog that is similar to TH-PVP, which revealed a 1 asymmetric atom count, 38 atom count, 5 rotatable bond count, 39 bond count, 7 chain bond count, 2 cyclomatic number, and 6 chain atom count. Under the geometry study, the report showed a dreiding energy equal to 52.41 kcal/mol, , a minimal projection area equal to 48.46 Å2, a volume equal to 238.97 Å3 and maximum projection area equal to 67.71 Å2.

Other research has also been completed on the analog of TH-PVP which showed the research compound to have a topological polar surface area of 20.3 A^2, Undefined Atom Stereocenter Count of 1, a heavy atom count of 17, Undefined Bond Stereocenter Count of 0, Defined Atom Stereocenter Count of 0, Isotope Atom Count of 0, Defined Bond Stereocenter Count of 0, and a Covalently-Bonded Unit Count of 1.

The analog that is similar to TH-PVP is known by other names and synonyms including α-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone, 14530-33-7, α-PVP, 1-Phenyl-2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-1-pentanone, 1-Phényl-2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-1-pentanone, 1-phenyl-2-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)pentan-1-one, 1-Pentanone, and 1-phenyl-2-(1-pyrrolidinyl), 1-Phenyl-2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)-1-pentanon Prolintanone.

The one thing you must remember if you plan to purchase TH-PVP is that you should learn more about the laws in your country. The analog that is similar to TH-PVP with a legal status of a Class B in the UK and a Schedule 1.
